Our story feels like it was always meant to happen. Our connection feels like the "invisible string theory"—the idea that your person is always present in your life’s journey, even before you meet.
Even though we grew up just a few kilometres apart, sharing a love for Etobicoke, family time, golf, and travel, it wasn’t until the summer of 2023 at Weston Golf and Country Club—a place we both spent so much of our childhood—that we finally crossed paths. This is when the invisible strings finally pulled us together.
Our first encounters on the patio at Weston were brief but memorable, setting the stage for a Canada Day weekend that would change everything. On Canada Day, we finally had the chance to really talk, and from the moment we started chatting, we didn’t want to stop. There was an immediate connection, and we both couldn’t wait to keep getting to know each other better. It just felt easy, like we’d known each other forever. By midweek, Ross asked me on our first official date, and it was perfect—so natural and fun!
From that moment on, we didn’t want to be apart. Over the next year, we created incredible memories: road trips to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Quebec City, Florida, and more; wine tastings; a hot air balloon ride; concerts; a Kansas City Chiefs game; and even a PGA tournament. Every moment together felt effortless and fun. In March/April 2024, we took the next step and moved in together, making our love feel even more like home.
Ross proposed at Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery on day 364 of our story. We’re so excited to say “I do” in Niagara-on-the-Lake, a place that means so much to us. It’s where we had our first day trip together, where Ross proposed and I said, "yes!". Getting married at this vineyard feels like a fairytale, and we are over the moon to start this next chapter of our lives in such a meaningful place.
From the very beginning, everything about our relationship just felt right. Our love is full of laughter, adventure, and joy, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by all of you—our favourite people!
